Major negative....

A "diet" isn't something you "do" until you've "lost weight." Rather, your "diet" is what you eat, every day, for the rest of your life.

If you eat a special diet to lose weight, you might lose weight. However, the minute you stop that special diet, all the weight comes back... plus a few pounds.

If you're serious about losing weight, you need to find a new way to eat so that you're eating foods you like, in a quantity that fills you up, and keeps you healthy. Weight Watchers is a group that teaches people how to eat.

In addition, you need to find an exercise that you love to do. For me, it's long-distance bicycling, with some running thrown in for spice. Don't hit the gym thinking that you can kill yourself with exercises that you hate, only to forget them once you're done. After all, you need to balance your calorie burn (exercise) with your calorie intake (diet) so that your weight stays where you want it to be.

Sooo... let's recap:

1. Forget short-term thinking
2. Learn to eat better, perhaps by going to Weight Watchers
3. Find an exercise that you love, that you'll do every day, that will balance out what you're eating.

This site below tells more about that. The only down side is people grew up eating cooked so they know how to do it. But they never learned to make raw ice cream, bread, pudding etc. so you have to learn it. Plus you buy things other than cooking things like a blender. Also if you eat 5 big bowls of greens it will not give you the nutrition in one little bowl of cooked greens. But many raw foodists juice things giving you a lot more nutrition.

its a good diet health wise all around, the bad effects are constant bathroom attention , if you know what i mean, and the fact that its hard to give up the other types of foods, plus you need to be getting pure vegtables from local farmer markets and such, i wouldnt recommend the type at the grocery store.

DIETS DO NOT WORK. 90% of people who diet weigh more after a year of starting it. Eat sensibly and exercise regularly - its the only way.
