Yes. My dog is afraid of my boyfriend's vacuum, my swifter wet jet, my swifter hard floors vacuum, and my swifter carpet vacuum thingy, my broom, and my hand vacuum

I think their ears are sensitive to loud noise so when you turn on the vacuum they are scared.

My dog is just afraid of all those tools because while playing with her the items fell over and made a loud boom. She's been afraid ever since. As for the noise on the other vaccumms.

Somtimes she is not scare, but curious and tries to sniff. I let her do that but warn her that i'm cleaning so if she snifts it when on it can "get her." Needless to say she doesn't listen and "it gets her." Which is cute because then she thinks it's a game soemtimes.

Yep.
Vacuum cleaner and hair dryer.
Initially she attacks and then because I keep moving with it she runs for salvation. I tried to show her that it's not going to hurt her or me but still. I suppose it's the sound that makes her flip, even though after so much time she attacks the vacuum also when it's off!!

My dogs aren't really afraid of it I don't think but it's hilarious to watch them when I vacuum or shampoo the carpet. They hunch down and bound back and forth in front of it barking like crazy. It's so cute!

Yes. It's so funny! He likes to try to get the fluffy end of the duster too. And we have a wet jet swiffer, and when you spray the stuff he barks. Dogs are just so entertaining and funny! =D

Yup - One of mine attacks the vacuum too! Barks like crazy, jumps at it, tries to bite at it - full on attack!

Got to admit though, the entertainment value is priceless!

My dog loves the vacuum. Haha she thinks it wants to play with her. But oddly enough she hates the broom. Go figure. My cat hates the vacuum and will hide until i'm done.

a couple of my dogs r scared of vacums too. I think its normal, u may just want to keep ur dog away from it when u vacum, so it doesn't attack it again. Our dogs r scared too, but they never tried to attack it, so best bet is to let it outside til u get done vacuming.

The natural enemies of the dog----Vacuums and Mailman! I have never had a dog who wasn't a bit nutty around the vacuum.
