whatr is the deal with walgreens, dont they pay for like 5000$ of your schooling each year if you sign a contract to work for them for like 2 years afterwards? and also what is the average starting pay for someone who does this? is it different than other places, like do they pay you less because they have you on a contract already???

thanx

You got me looking. I'll attach the site. I saw where there is educational program but U have @ be working there for a year or 104 hours. I did not say how much they paid, nor did I see anything about a contract. Starting varies I'm sure depending how close 2 Ur degree U r. Or if U already have a degree. I doubt it's a lot at Walgreen's Hope this helps

Walgreens gives you either $1500-$4500, depending on if you applied before. You then have to work for them for a year for each award received. From what I hear, sometimes you get paid less. We call this indentured servitude.
In the Chicago area, starting pay at Walgreens is about 105k.

it's not unique to Walgreen's, everybody does it.

Where I live the bonuses are in the 15 to 20K range for three years of what a previous answerer correctly called indentured servitude.
