I'm thinking about getting invisalign to close the gaps in my teeth. So, is getting invisalign a waste of money or what? How much did you spend on your treatment for invisalign for those who've had it?

Go to their website and request a packet. They'll send you a video and point out dentists in your area... From what I remember they are pretty pricey, but I looked a few years ago now.

Absolutely not a waste of money. It works great depending on the patient and their compliance and desire to attain the perfect smile. If you are sure you want ortho treatment, it's the best way to go. You wear the clear custom tray that slowly shifts the teeth moving them into proper occlusion and alignment, only taking them out to eat or brush and floss. The doctor gives you different size trays every few weeks until you complete the treatment plan. It's that simple! For more information ask your Doctor or visit the site below. Cost varies from each dentist and occasionally it's dependent on how difficult the case. It usually is a little more than regular braces but well worth it. Hope I've been of some help, good luck!

I currently have invisaligns and the are working extremely well! You can actually see results after just a couple of weeks. I had several gaps in my teeth and they were all closed in just one year. Invisaligns are very comfortable and the good thing is that if you have a special occasion like a date, or a time when you don't want to talk funny, or when you will be doing a lot of eating, you can just not put them in!
They are not gross because you will not be taking them out in front of people. You will not have to suck them, because you will simply rinse them before you put them back into your mouth.
They are more expensive. My cost was $2500. My insurance covered the other portion ($3500).
I totally recommend them!!!
