Me and my boyfriend have a bet on if ducks run or not. I think that ducks do run, but my boyfriend think they don't. Please help, theres a 20 involved.

It depends what you mean by RUN. They waddle pretty fast, which I would call a run, but that they run is a pretty hard thing to prove..O.o XD Good luck with your twenty ^^

If a duck handiest has one leg does he swim in a circle ? Is a frog's butt watertight ? Does a endure s*** within the woods ? Are you kidding ? H*ll sure they fly. They migrate 1000's or 1000s of miles over the open sea for the wintry weather and so they neither stroll or run there (I doubt they would swim that a ways). Besides, how else would you "shoot a sitting duck" if it wasn't flying ?

I feed them along with geese every day! I have seen them move as fast as they can without flying, I would call it 'running'. They will 'run' to get to the food before it's all gone, because geese are like locusts and will devour everything in a hurry. So if they want to eat they have to be fast and first. Yes in my experience they most certainly do run. I love Peking ducks the most.

Sure. If you chase them (don't chase ducks, I'm just saying if) they'll run off at a fast waddle and then take off.

YES...I have 5 ducks and 3 geese...I agree with everyone else...Its not really a run....But its a very very fast wadle...if you dont believe me...go try and catch some ducks....LOL

well if you consider their regular walk to the pace ive seen some of them quickly waddle id say yeah they run

yes they do. there is even a breed called Indian Runner. they stand straight up and run, not waddle.
