I only hear it when I'm in the woods in Florida, and never see it.
It has this creepy, hollow flute song. It consists of maybe four notes, and reminds me a little of Zelda music. Dosen't sing very often, kind of quiet. Whenever I hear it it sends a shiver up my spine (Usually because I'm horseback riding or something and it's quiet) and I never know where it came from!
Does anybody know what kind of bird this is? Thanks!

I am pretty sure that it is a Wood Thrush, they have a flute like sound to their song. And they are usually only found in the woods.

Here is a link so that you can listen to the call, it may not sound like an exact match to the bird you heard birds have variations of the same call and also they can have different calls, but if the general sound is close it is most likely the Wood Thrush.

You did not mention when you heard it. Could you tell us when the last time you heard it was? At least what month was it?

Crows and ravens are all over the world and can mimic other birds - they make some pretty eerie sounds. Also could be a variety of woodpecker.

Wood Thrush is not a bad guess, but they should not be in FL in winter. My guess is White-throated Sparrow.
