Beautiful women have to, it's not that they're genuinely arrogant it's just a time management tool.

Imagine for a moment what it would be like to be an attractive woman - you're getting hit on constantly! Every five minutes there's another guy offering to buy you a drink, asking your name, coming up with a pick up line, or just acting the same as the other millions of guys that have come before. You can't afford to take the time with each to find out how worthy they are, and it would be a major pain in the ***. Instead they have to evaluate you quickly and get rid of you as soon as possible if you don't match up - they won't have time to live and enjoy life otherwise.

Unlike men, women have to come off as arrogant sometimes to just get people off her back.

I genuinely believe there is no such thing as a real "*****." The secret is to be different from other guys, surprise her right off the bat with confidence and humor. With many of the women who seem arrogant and condescending, their facades will rapidly evaporate and they will be their natural sweet selves if you can demonstrate that you're not the normal, boring guys that hit on her all the time.
