Which says that women must be burned to death (the most horrible punishment) for sexual immorality ?!??? - in Islam burning any living creature is strictly forbidden

The General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly (CPA), Isolo, Lagos, Dr. Reverend King poured petrol on seven members of his church on July 22, 2006 at the church premises, 6B Canal View, Ajao Estate, Isolo, Lagos and set them alight. This was after he had accused them of indulging in sexual immorality.

Many Christians seem to have missed the irony of critising me for condemning their religion for evil acts against Christiainiy done by Christians when they always condemn Islam and all Muslims for the evil un-islamic acts done by some Muslims

"You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye" Matthew 7:5

You deny that the Quran teaches to kill the non believers? See when a Nut case like you talked about commits those kinds of terrible sins the Church calls him a non-christian cultist. When a Muslim does it he is called a fundamentalist... It must be fundamental to Islam to Kill anyone who disagrees with it's tenants... Jim

Surely you don't think that we as Christians, do this in America? That is not a behavior associated with Christianity. However, since you're on the subject, how are women treated according to Islam. I have talked to those that have witnessed women being beaten in public, hands severed for punishment because of some act like touching another man. I'm just wondering, do you treat each other the way Christ instructed?

If Islam forbids burning of any living creature, then what about all of those people who were burned to death on September 11, 2001 by Islamic terrorists? Where all of the people in the Pentagon or the World Trade Center guilty of sexually immorality? No, because some of the people burned in the pentagon were members of my church, and so far as I know, were innocent.

How can you follow a sick religion that allow suicide bombers to burn to death thousands of innocent people? Al Queda killed not just Christians, but Muslims too -- especially when they tried to blow up the US embassies in two African countries the year before. Ben Lauden admitted this fact, but justified it by saying that it was up to Allah to determine who lives and who dies in jihad.

Do these sick people truly represent Islam? If not, then how can you say that this sick preacher represents true Christianity?

Disgusting, & under the name of Christianity--That is why Mahatma Gandhi made this bold statement:

*** gt The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived ***

Mohandas Gandhi, was moved to say: ‘I love Christ, but I despise Christians(Christendom -my comment) because they do not live as Christ lived.’
He indeed was talking about the churches in Christendom, that were responsible for the Crusades, Inquisitions, backed Hitlers extermination in WW2 and much more in our time:

The sickness is sometimes, the doctrines of the churches themselves. For instance it has been said the obscene teaching of hell-fire made it quite easy for the Inquisitors to burn people alive for more than 400 years.

So the sick monster you referenced could have indeed been influenced by that sadistic doctrine as well as others.

The problem lies in that people worship the church above God otherwise they would not stand for even the idea or mention of that sick deed carried out.
People love their church leaders above God and thus become cowards as to standing up for what is right. Why in fact did not anyone stop this pervert?

Any religion that would give so much importance & power to one man , woman or group that had any type of perversion cannot be practicing the Christianity of Christ.

That truly is a horrendous story, but there are many similar to more or less degree.

okay...that's Africa...and that guy's crazy.

as for the rest of us:

The most gruesome punishments that you find int he Bible are in the Old Testament in the Jewish books of Law (leviticus and deuteronomy). However, Christ came with a message of forgiveness and tolerance through restoration of relationships, such as the relationship between sinful man (and woman) and their sinless God.

Christ's death is necessary for the remission of all sins in the world - sin being identified as anything that is disobedient to God in any way - and in His death, the world has found a way to be restored into that right relationship.

The punishment for sin is not a temporal one (unless that sin is against some enforced law in the government under which it is committed). Instead, the punishment for sin is an eternal one - separation from God in a place called Hell.

Christianity is not a sick religion, it is a religion for those who were sick. people need healing - spiritually - and it is found in the love and sacrifice of Christ.

This is NOT what a true Christian believes or does. Christ forgave the woman caught in adultery and prevented her accusers from stoning her to death. This man was a fanatic and possibly mentally ill.

Speaking of that, the punishment for adultery by women in Islam is to be buried up to the waist and then stoned to death:

And you were saying that Christianity is a sick religion?

I don't think this horrible event has much to do with religion. From what I know of the case it's likely that the Reverend involved was suffering from a serious mental illness.

Not so much a sick religion, but a medically sick individual.

There are some antichrists out there and Dr. Reverend King must be one of them. In the New Testament of the Holy Bible, states that God sent Jesus to be crucified for you and me and deliver us from our sins, now we are cleansed because Jesus died and rose again three days later in Victory. The Lord has a command in the New Testament is says to love God above all else and to LOVE your neighbors(meaning everyone). Jesus is not evil but the complete definition of love. In the past things like that may have happened, but that was before Jesus died for our sins, now we can be clean before God because Jesus became our sacrifice.

Just because people who call themselves Christians and do these horrible things, PLEASE do not label true Christians with them. I do not follow a "religion' I follow Christ. Christ would not do this to these women. He loves them, Granted He would want them to come to him and stop their sin however as in the bible, he told the Pharisees that were going to stone her, "whoever is without sin cast the first stone". That CPA is NOT A TRUE CHRISTIAN CHURCH- it is a cult. Paul in his Epistles warned us about false teachers. People burned those women, NOT God. that was wrong. They will be judged for that too.
