Please explain equipment used and process, also what is the coal loaded onto when sent back to be processed

The process is quite simple:
Blow up , dig, haul on big-*** trucks.

For explosive they use diesel mixed with fertiliser. For digging there are a few alternatives: drag lines, shovels. For hauling they use Caterpillar trucks with 100, 150 tons capacity. Then they dump it into a primary crusher which discharges unto apron feeder and conveyor belts. Thus goes to the concentrator.

I have seen coal loaded onto movable conveyor belt system to power plant on very large open cast brown coal mine in Australia.

A type of opencast mining. First they remove the overburden ( overlying sediments) then they use massive partially computer guided diggers to extract the Ore seam which is sometimes as thin as 25cm. This gets loaded onto a dumptruck.
