Yes. I see the world that they are going to grow up in. 9/11, Iraq, Aids, Global warming, moral decline etc. I can't help but want to protect them from all that. In that respect I wish I had really thought long and hard before becoming pregnant. It can't be all about biological clocks, sowing seeds or because you got married. I think that is just selfish.
I love my kids and maybe one of them will be the one that brings about world peace. One can only hope.

As far as I know, I've never been pregnant. Neither has my girlfriend.
I will say this, however, I do not think I'll want kids. I've been in too many Pizza Huts with screaming 5-year-olds. Kind of a turn-off honestly. The weird bit is that I want to be a teacher. So in a way, my students will be my kids.
