I'm not sure I would choose a celebrity for a role model. I would prefer my children to look up to different sources of women in the world to be their mentors. And not just my girls either. I want my boys to appreciate women as more than sex objects, like they are portrayed in the movie industries.

A child's parent should be the role model, not a celebrity. Celebrities depend on a publicist to sale them to the world.

Depends on the age of your kids - I go with girls who don't have different boyfriends every week, who don't have obvious eating disorders, and who have a good sense of humor. I like Raven and I'm considering Billy Cyrus's daughter. My daughters are 10 and 12.

definately NOT britney spears, jessica simpson, lindsay lohan, nicole ritchie, or paris hilton....they are all trashy and such horrible role models for young girls.
I like one of the answers above, Bindi Irwin (the crocodile hunter's daughter) She is adorable.

I would point them towards people who have actual talent or who have actually made a difference in the world (Angelina Jolie traipsing all over the world does NOT count) to emulate, not celebrities.
