I would check with a lawyer, crossing Country lines is a whole different scenario.especially if it for long enough to violate the Fathers visitation rights. But check so you don't wind up in jail

Even if you have sole custody it would be wise to have written permission from your ex. It saves u a lot of hassle from the authorities when travelling from and to Canada.

I am not sure about Canada, but in the US, if you have sole custody, you can move out of the state and not have his permission, but you do have to update your address if the father askes for it. Try this site. www.custodycenter.com/CANADA
