I met a girl almost a year ago that I really liked, but after a few months I made a mistake and she wouldn't talk to me. I stopped trying to talk to her after one week. I tried talking to her on the last day of school and she respoonded until I asked her if she was still mad at me, at which she said no, she just didn't want to talk to me. I didn't see her over the summer until school started again. When I would say hi to her or walk by her she wouldn't even look at me. After a while she did start saying hi to me then stopped again. Since then I had been ignoring her while still thinking about her. After ignoring her for over a month an returning to school from the Christmas break I noticed she started looking at me from a distance or when she was close until I would look at her, then she would quickly look away. At lunch she either sits at a table where she looks directly at me or at a table that's close to mine. Are there any more signs I could look for to show that she misses me?

We were only friends before, and instead of being her boyfriend since she didn't like me that way I just want to be friends again.

What happened was she told me she was falling in love with someone else about a year ago and that a couple of her friends were falling in love too. I panicked and told a friend what she said. I was afraid of her liking someone else besides me. I left out the names of her firends she told me when I told him. He figured out who and teased her friends about falling in love, so the girl I like got mad at me and wouldn't talk to me. The boy she said she was falling in love with at the time, now she recently argued with him (I was there) telling him "I'm never mean to you! You're always mean to me!" It seems like they're not really talking now. I told her I was sorry. No matter how stupid it sounds, at the time I didn't know better to not say anything at all that we talked about. Today I just want to be friends because she's the kind of girl I want to stay with foreer.

She's no longer mad at me for what I know, I just haven't tried to start a convesation with her yet. The other thing I'm afraid of is if we keep going on like this until I graduate this year I may never see her again.

She sees me talk to other people and pays more attention when I'm talking to other girls.

"Are there any more signs I could look for to show that she misses me?"

To me this might not be the best question to ask. When you are looking for signs for anything, you will find them. If you were looking for signs that she didn't want to have a problem with you but also didn't want to give you the impression she wanted to be friends or anything else with you, you could probably see lots of signs that point that direction too. The problem is that the signs you're seeing might not be accurate.

Though I don't know all the details, I totally understand your preoccupation with the girl...I went through a time of that myself when I was much shorter. However, there are times when you just need to take a hint and realize there are many more fish in the sea--don't take it personally. If someone has a bad 'emotional anchor' attached to you, you usually just make it worse by trying to change that in them if they don't want it changed (whether their feelings are 'fair' or not). If she actually does miss you, I think it will be much more obvious than that as you allow yourself to focus on other things. Otherwise, you might be severely misinterpreting something and I would go beyond trying to ignore her and just shift your focus elsewhere or on someone else. If you come off too needy it's just not going to work out with her or anyone else.

Stop looking for signs that she misses you and start looking for other things and other people to notice and talk to. Otherwise, every time she sees a stalker movie she'll think of you. Develop yourself and your personality in every way you can think of (working out, learning new things etc.)...that way you'll just naturally attract more people--whether her or others.

Regardless, good luck!

this girl must know that u still like her therefore she has the uppperhand in this situation. she likes the fact that she has got u dangling wondering wether or not she liked u. I have the same problem. all u do is simply get the balls to talk to her. if she still doesnt respond with a friendly chat leave her alone. dont ignore her just give her some space. Eventually when she realizes the "space" you gave her she'll realize that she misses you and it will get so bad she will call u. if u do this it will. it worked for me.

well you must have done something totally wrong for her to be mad at you this long, but doesn't mean that she doesn't have feelings for you, you must have hurt her pretty bad, what you should do is this tell her to meet you whereever talk to her tell her whats been going on and that you miss her company make her feel special, and then ask her what happen to you and her talk it out with her im sure you'll guys become close friends again and maybe even more good luck hun.

i think she likes you but is playing the hard-to-get game with you. Just go up to her one day a tell her that you want to become friends with her again.
