When I am older I want to have a big family, like 5 or 6 children. Do you think that it is unsafe for your body to have that many kids? I really love children and I hope I can have a big family!!

They're finding now that having children (especially if you nurse them) is beneficial for the mother.
I know there ends up being problems sometimes with the uterus 'falling out'.. where the muscles can no longer hold it up anymore but that's like when you're in your 70's or 80's but Keigel excercises help prevent that.
You have to make sure you can mentally and emotionally handle having that many kids too. It's not as easy as it looks but I've never heard someone from a big family complain they had too many brother's and sisters.

We have seven kids, and one on the way. The only problem was my csection, so now I'm always high risk. However, there haven't been any problems...L&D is always fine, and I recovery quickly. My husband is the oldest of eight, and his mom was fine....she was one of 13...and his grandma lived to a ripe ol age.

Surely you've seen the Duggar family on The Learning Channel. Plus they are having a series over the next couple of weeks called 'Families by the Dozen'...about families that have more than a dozen kids. It's on Friday nights at 9pm eastern. if you can see it, check it out...it's awesome.

It is a lot of work, but it's great all the time. My kids are best friends, and while they have their arguments, they always make up.

For ages mothers have given birth to 10+ babies and still worked in the fields. You will be fine. My mother-in-law has 10 siblings and her mother had two miscarriages, she is kicking at 83.

I think it is safe as long as you give your body a chance to recover between children. A year or more is best!

you should be okay- less than 80 years ago it was common for women to have 12 or 13 babies... we haven't elvolved that much...

although- i can't imagine going through this sick, tired, moody feeling 5 or 6 times! god bless you and good luck with that!

My mom had seven kids and she never had any problems.
My mama had 21 kids with my papa and never had any problems.

Why would it say in the bible -Go forth and multiply-?
I don't think it would have any affect unless your doctor says so.
Good luck

THe only thing bad about it is stretched out skin, but a tummy tuck will fix that.
