An Australian sheik living in Lebanon is trying to convince little children that Allah would consider it the greatest honour for them to die as martyrs. What kind of things is this to teach children?

Yes it very wrong. I live in Australia and listening to the local talk back show and a lot of Muslims are ringing up and asking Australia not to listen to him because they feel he will cause trouble and they won't trouble

God Bless You

No, its not good at all. Its bad to teach kids that the only way their life is meaningfull to God is if they die defending what He supposedly wants/says.

They should teach kids that their lives are meaningful because God made them and that's enough for Him if they pray and believe in Him.

Its probably a form of mind control for the little ones to get them "on board" with playing with toy guns and defending their neighborhoods... so they will grow up into 10 year olds who can stand watch at night and shoot as many people as they can that try to come into their neighborhood.

A lot of those kids have seen some very bad things and their families have been ripped apart, making it the perfect conditions for that Sheik to take the little ones and offer them a "family" if they join up with their cause... they all probably have PTSD and need to just be in a safe area with a loving community! Its sad that their moms and dads can't offer that to their kids right now because of the war and all.

It is not the religion that is asking children to die for their god, it is this man and I'm sure that all thinking Muslims would agree. This man is full of hatred and obviously incapable of rational thought. The trouble is that too many people in positions of power or authority use ethnic and cultural differences to serve their own bitter beliefs. When we hear about people like this we should understand that it is individuals' interpretation of their faith that causes problems - and Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Budhism and every other ism are no less free of this sin than any other. People in many countries have too much of a struggle in raising and caring for their babies to see them die for some perverted person's view of his god, Look at us - communicating over thousands of miles and building understanding. The world is now too small to be filled with hatred. - Another great question!

Remember that it is not the religion that teaches it, it is the wacked out extremists. I myself am not Muslim, but I have friends that are. It troubles me deeply that these extremists seem to now represent the entire Islamic Nation when they are only a small portion. Islam by nature is a peaceful religion but people take the words in the Koran and twist them around, much like the Europeans did with the Bible in the past.

No - i dont know any religion that teaches that
the nearest to it is the Christian religion which says that "God" (sic) forced "his son" (sic) to die the most horrible cruel death possible for something he didnt do/no reason

This religion also teaches that children are born evil and bad with sin not pure as Islam says and will burn in hell forever because they havent had some holy water thrown over them -islam says all children will go to heaven even the children of idolaters

That is horrible. That is a ******* messed up religion, even if some religions are real, as a human race we would be better without them (i do admit the ten commandments are kind of a good thing, but thats law and morals.)

I find such anti-life teaching abominable. Muslims claim to respect Jesus as the greatest prophet before Mahommed. They should check out his recipe for dealing with those who lead children astray - it involved a millstone!

NO!! That is telling you that something is wrong if a religion is asking you do such a thing then maybe you need to take time out and reconsider if that is the right religion you should be in. For instance, Jesus Christ said, "I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." -- John 10:10
God doesn't want you to kill yourself are especially your child, since they are a gift from Him to you.

A lot of these stereotypes involving Muslims and acts of suicidal homicide are a result of terrific misinterpretations of the Quran.
