I first saw Benny Parsons race on the old 1/2 mile dirt track in Mt. Clemes, MI. Met him in the pits. Always a smile no matter what. He was a true champion.

Im very sad to see that this has happened. I was having computer problems, and when I was able to get my computer back up and running and saw that this happened, I was saddened by the news. He was a great man, a great racer, and a great commentator. He will be truly missed in the NASCAR world. R.I.P. Benny. May God be with you and your family.

Wow ! I was shocked. I thought he was doing ok. NASCAR won't be the same. It's like hearing Al Michaels & John Madden, when you don't hear those voices & see those faces, it just "ain't" right. So sad. R.I.P. Benny - the NASCAR world will never forget you! God Bless to his family.

Yes, I was a little sad when I heard it; but at least (from the article I read at nascar.com) he didn't let the cancer beat him.
He will be remembered among the Great Ones.
