Felsic rocks like Granite form from high viscosity (thick, with a high silicone volume) magma deep within the earth. The slow cooling of these rock masifests a large crystal structure that you can see in Granites today.
These rocks take millions of years to solidify and cool and many more millions of years of erosion and Orogenis are required to bring them to the surface so they can be handled and used as building materials today.
If the earth was only 6-10 thousand years old the heat from all the Granite alone would turn all the water on the surface of the earth to steam.
How do you explain this?

Fish, read the question! Granite forms deep within the Earth not on the surface!

Have you heard of "Noah's flood?" Oh, and have you heard that God created mature flora and fauna and rocks, etc. So that would mean if it took millions of years to be mature and God created it in its mature state it would look to us with our current best methods of dating like it was millions of years old when in fact it was just created in that 'old' or mature state about 6000 years ago.

Do you have a problem with this logic or just that maybe the Bible might be true and you might have to re think your responsibilities, etc, etc.

BTW what a looser name for your avatar. My guess you think you are really cute. Am I right?

So, what you're saying is that God knew what he was doing in creating the material in the first place. He knew that certain stratas had to be a certain temperature so that life can exist ont eh surface by a certain time period.

As for whether creation is true or not, I give you the Human Brain. Yes, the same one you are using, right now.

Studies, like that done by the University of Michigan, and features in the Discovery Channel program, The Amazing Life of the Human Brain, shows just how amazing the human brain is.

Every second while awake, we are absorbing 40MBs of data per second. That’s 144 gigabytes per hour and about 2 terabytes per day. That’s a lot of data even for the largest computer. When we sleep at night, and only at night or under nighttime conditions, all that data is sorted and stored through the creation of synaptic connectors and biochemical bounds. The brain has enough volume to allow for the creation of these storage connectors to last over 10,000 years.

Without the need of a creator, what evolutionary pressure could cause the need for this much volume that would take that long to fill? Clearly, man was either created by God to live that long, or if evolve, once lived that long, and has since de-evolved to what we are today. Which do you think it is?

Evolution does take place, in that animals have evolved and humans have de-evolved since the time of the creation. Many divergent species are related, such as the Meerkat/Hyena and the Lion/House cat. A house cat can breed with a lion, I wonder if the same is possible the Hyena and Meerkat?

This is why I believe in God. I use the brain he gave me, and designed for me, to determine something beyond imagining.

Explain This:

The geologic column in its final version consists of eleven basic layers. According to the evolutionary theory these layers were laid down over a period of millions of years. However, several problems arise when the geologic column is looked at through the theory of evolution. First, if the geologic column were to be compacted together, layer upon layer, its height would exceed 100 miles. This is a problem because one must consider the earth's crust is no greater than 30 miles thick and sedimenlary rocks are never found exceeding 15 miles in depth. The Grand Canyon also presents a problem to the evolutionary geologic column because several sedimentary layers, such as the Cenozoic and Mesozoic strata, are absent. Such absences directly correspond with the many observations that the theorized transitional species between virtually every major group of animals is also missing. Missing parts of the column are generally explained on the basis of erosion and mountain building. However, the absence of erosion marks and the distinct lines of separation between each of the successive layers is compelling evidence that the layers were laid down quickly through the action of transporting waters. Another problem in the evolulionary theory is the inconsistency in strata succession form old strata to young In over 500 locations globally the succession of strata is inverted and younger strata is found lying beneath older strata. Although evolution cannot be useful in explaining such phenomenon, the Flood theory can be a very valid explanation. Because certain species of invertebrates were light weight and easily transportable, various representatives of their species would sometimes be transported and deposited at different stages of the flood. The discovery of fossils and footprints in the geologic colmnn below levels in which they should be located is also a problem to the evolutionary geologic column. One of the most stunning evidences against the supposed vast ages of the earth and the geologic column is the presence of human footprints in layers dated older than the Quaternary Period. In addition to footprints, human fossils have also been found in areas of the geologic column which represent time periods supposedly millions of years prior to modern man. This argues quite favorably for the Creation model which states that all major life forms began at the same time and have reproduced after their own kind since the beginning. Finally, the discovery of polystrate fossil trees in coal seams is a major disruption in tile Evolutionary theory. According to evolution the formation of coal seams occurred over millions of years. However, the presence of fossilized trees in these coal beds indicate that they were formed very quickly since a tree could not survive for a million years while the surrounding vegetation solidified.

In the Bible it says that it took God 6 days to create the earth and populate it. What if "days" really meant "creative periods"? I really think God's timescale is very much different than our own, and probably doesn't translate well into something that Moses could easily translate when writing Genesis. Anywho, if it were "creative periods" instead of days, then it really could have taken millions of years to create a planet and everything on it.

Maybe being soaked, in the deluge that fell for 40 days and 40 nights plus what came up from below the surface of the earth, for 5 months speeded the process.

Scientists would have you believe that it takes this long. But, does it really? We were once told petroleum takes millions of years to from, yet we have made it in labs in less than 20 minutes.

the thought of relativity for sure states that element is a length (properly, actually area time) and relies upon on the cost of an merchandise. If the cost of the Earth has ever replaced it is going to scramble the time theory because of the fact we for sure assumes that element has consistently been the comparable.

All forms of carbon dating are incorrect and flawed.
Scientists recently found a supposed12,000 year old leaf in 4 million year old sap. And they found this from 2 different forms of dating. Both showed the same inaccurate find.
Plus how accurate can it be? How does anyone know for sure that anything is over 6,000 years old?

Everything God created had time already in it... He didnt create man as an embryo or a mountain as a grain of sand. These things would take billions of years to happen if there wasnt a Creator.

Pimples take time to form. If you and I could take a time machine and go see Adam the day after God formed him, we'd look at him and be "sure" that he couldn't be one day old. He'd surely have pimples older than one day old... God made him already a MAN. I guess to us he'd look maybe 15yrs old, maybe 18 yrs old, but not ONE DAY.

Same thing with the stars, in case you were wondering.
