I know what you mean.

What I sometimes do is try and find variations to my usual menu to make the meal a bit interesting.

Today I cooked this Moroccan Tomato soup with peanut butter and the response to it has been good.

2 tb Olive oil
1 Onion, chopped
5 Cloves garlic, minced
1 cn Tomatoes (28 oz)
1 c Peanut butter
1 t Cumin
1 tb Hot pepper sauce
2 tb Cayenne
1 tb Chili powder
2 tb White vinegar
1 t Salt
1 t Pepper
1 tb Sugar
1/4 c Tomato paste
2 c Water

In a large sauce pan, heat oil and fry onion and garlic until golden brown. Place the tomatoes and their liquid in a bowl, and
crush the tomatoes with a potato masher or a spoon, breaking them into small pieces. Add the tomatoes and their liquid to the onions, reduce heat to very low, add peanut butter, and stir until well combined. Add cumin, hot sauce, cayenne, chili, vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, tomato paste and water, and stir until
well combined. Cook over low heat at a bare simmering for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently. (This soup burns very easily, so keep the heat low and don't allow it to come to a full boil.)

I have tons of recipes but I don't know what you have been cooking all these years.

Here are some favourites of mine:
CURRIED PUMPKIN AND SWEET POTATO SOUP
1 ½ tsp veg oil
1 tsp garlic
1 cup chopped onion
2 ½ cups chicken stock
8oz (250g) peeled and chopped sweet potatoes
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 ½ tsp curry powder
½ tsp coriander
1 tsp honey
½ tsp ginger
¾ cup (175mL) 2% milk
In nonstick saucepan, heat oil; sauté garlic and onion until softened, approximately 5 minutes.
Add stock. Sweet potatoes, pumpkin, curry, coriander, honey and ginger; reduce heat, cover and simmer until potatoes are tender, approximately 40 minutes.
Puree until smooth. Return to saucepan stir in milk until blended.

Serve with crusty bread, cheddar cheese and maybe a nice green salad.

Cut chicken in large bite size pieces. Dip in beaten egg (with a tsp of water/egg added), then dip in bread crumbs. Let stand 10 min. Sauté in olive oil on 6 or 7 heat until cooked and golden brown.
Sauce:
Mix 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp cornstarch, 1/2 cup water. Microwave until boiling, stirring twice. Add a pinch of salt and mace. Add 1 tbsp butter and juice of 1/2 lemon (about 2 tbsp). Stir. Cook 20-25 seconds. stir. Pour sauce over chicken. garnish with lemon slices.
