I'm 31 years old and my wife is 24. We have 4 children with twins. Have been married for 6 yrs.

My wife has 3 sisters and a brother. One of the sisters and brother are married. My other two sister in laws are 18 & 16 yrs and they have been living with us for the past six years.
I treat my two sister in laws as my own daughters and they call me dad and I'm fine with that. My wife's parents died when they were 4 & 6 yrs. They've been living with us for 6 yrs and they have called me dad all this time. My wife's happy about it and says I'm great.

I treat them like my own daughters from my heart and have done everything to them including all expenses. I've bought two houses for them, for their marriage. They say that I am like their own dad and kiss me.When I married they were 10 & 12 and from then they have been kissing me Is it okay for them to kiss me in a FATHER DAUGHTER WAY ONLY on the cheek and calling me dad? My wife says she's happy when they kiss me and treat me like a dad

Kisses on the cheek are acceptable for any family member. As long as your wife is okay with them calling you dad, it's okay. Sounds like you have been a good father figure to them.

If you are happy with that and your wife is happy with it, then it is fine that your sisters-in-law call you "dad" and kiss you on the cheek.

It sounds like you have done a fine job in taking them in and treating them as you have. Don't let anyone spoil that for you.

Absolutely positively alright! As long as your wife doesn't mind, it's just fine. It's only the cheek. I kiss my Father in law on the cheek when we go to visit, so it's not a big deal. You are their father figure, they are lucky to have you and I'm sure they appreciate everything you've done for them (please do not say you've done everything to them it does sound odd).

I think them kissing you on the cheek is fine if it's only once in a while, not all the time, that's just weird .... Plus, you are their brother in law, not their Dad. But each to his own.

There is nothing wrong in kissing you on the cheek. It sounds okay to me and your like a father to them that they don't have.

I'd say it's fine. I think I would rephrase that "you have done everything to them" though. Sounds kinda, well, not right.

Personally, I think it is kinda weird that they call you dad. If they were your wife's children then it would be different. They are like your sisters calling you daddy. WEIRD!!!

Why not if its just the Cheek?
Do you feel uncomfortable or guilty when they do this.
Is this for a reason??
