I'm sorry but I have to ask why you got the puppy, and are only now asking this question!! 4 hours is fine - for an adult. For a 10 week puppy absolutely this is too long. As I've written in another post earlier.... Picture this - your puppy is happily living with her brothers and sisters, in a warm (presumably) environment with mum visiting and food coming regularly. All of sudden she gets lifted out of that situation and taken with strange people to a place she doesn't know. Then she's left alone for hours and hours. It's not good!! She will take forever to housetrain too. You need to be there to let her out every hour at the very least. She needs company, socialisation. Dogs are pack animals and will quickly become noisy, destructive, and depressed if left to their own devices. You can do this once she is older - 4 hours is a quite acceptable period of time, but for a 10 week puppy. Sorry, but no.

Sounds like you have a problem with him being able to control his mouth. Just sit him down and tell him how this makes you feel. If he doesnt come around go for the electric leash. Seems to work the best.

You sort of answered your own question — you CAN leave dogs tied up outside stores.

lmao, get him a bag of his favorite snacks, tell him to "sit!" "fetch xyz!" and give him one when he does a good job.
