Gays and pedophiles are completely two different types of people. The major difference is that a pedophile lures a CHILD into a sexual act.

Pedophiles are EVERYWHERE regardless of religious training/background. Priests are in such a position of trust, that it becomes scandalous when one is discovered as having violated children (as it should.)

I do not know the statistic of priests and their sexual preference, but Catholic priests were/are not allowed to marry or be sexual with a woman. This may explain SOME, but not all of the behavior you are describing.

Some people who are otherwise hetero may become "gay" while in prison because they are confined to a place with people of the same sex, and they cannot get sex any other way.

Anyway, you sound a bit ignorant on the subject- and a bit hateful too. So anyway, perhaps research it yourself.

Less than 4% of priests have been accused of pedophelia. A child is 100 times more likely to be sexually abused in a public school than by a priest.

I guess that just shows how wrong and sick education is????

Catholic church is the largest in the world so there are going to be a lot of corruptions in it, but most priests are not pediphiles.

I don't know but
religion "per se" is of very little importance.
what is important is YOUR personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
don't get hung up on "religion".
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

No it just shows that they themselves could not resist doing wrong; they are human as so was Muhammad. The thing to do is is to hold a strong hand-hold with God and never look at people; for without the Grace of God where would man be?

That particular religion forbids marriage and women. Forbidden or not, men still have a sex drive. The perverts are the ones who can't take it anymore. An occupation with no women? That's just asking for trouble.

Religion is a pervert magnet; some of them feel uncomfortable about their sexuality and try to repress it and hide from it. Priest is perfect cover for gays and pedophiles because they won't be expected to marry anyway...too bad they often fail at repressing their sexuality.
