Delta, US Air, American and United all fly to the Philip Goldson International Airport, just outside of Belize City. From there you transfer to the islands or interior.

You can also fly to Tikal in Guatemala with Northwest or Grupo Taca and transfer across the border to western Belize.

I just booked a flight last weekend for a trip late March 07. From California, American Airlines had the best fares, and the shortest, most direct flights/routes (but that might vary depending on when/where you are traveling from, so check all the airlines).
Continental, Delta and TACA also have flights to Belize City (BZE).

I found the best rates directly from American Airlines, http://www.aa.com/ , but I'd also checked sites like travelocity.com, tripadvisor.com, orbitz.com, expedia.com (be aware that the rates they show are often pre-tax & pre-fee rates).

BTW, if you check out my Questions, I posted a question asking for thoughts of things to do once in Belize, there are a couple of good answers posted (esp from Alex).
