i have been babysitting my two youngest cousins for a year and provide food for them while at my house at no cost to my aunt and i would like to know if they can be claimed on my taxes, she has not been working for the past year and has been searching for a job

It is possible. There are tests that must be met.

That would be "probably not".

Unless you meet all the tests.

Assuming you meet the more arcane ones, like not married and US citizens or residents, the tests are:
Provide more than 50% of support
Lived in your home (staying for awhile doesn't cut it, must be MORE than 6 months)
They earned less than $3300.

If they didn't actually live with you (not just be at your house during the day for you to babysit them) all year, then no you can't. Cousins don't count as relatives who don't have to live with you.

No but you can claim your expenses along with your babysitting income on Schedule C.

Don't try reporting expenses without appropriate income.

I believe that you can only claim "dependents" if you provide more than 51% of their living expenses, such as shelter, food, clothes, medical insurance, and so on.

If you don't, you can't.
