I know why i wear my hijab and niqaab totally for the sake of submitting to Allah.
It is my right, brings me peace and gives me tranquillity and also alot of respect.
It distinguishes who i really am , A true believing Muslimah!!
May Allah (swt) protect and reward all my sisters inshallah x x

If God(Allah) truly created humans based on his image, I think it is blasphemous to cover it all up.
I understand that it is a method to keep the male population less tempted. I think true self control and discipline is the best method.
I find it very unnatural. I cannot really "trust" a person under a hijab. I need more visual information to scan personal features, and emotional reactions in order to analyze a person's character.
I am not Muslim, nor do I believe in any other religion, and I think the hijab is a method of controlling women, and it has been mixed into the religion just as circumcision is for the Jews. I find the dynamics between the sexes in some of the Middle Eastern countries repulsive and disgusting...and I'm male. I believe women should have all the rights men have.

If you know exactly what it stands for, why do you care what other think?.
Saudi women face severe discrimination in many aspects of their lives, including education, employment, and the justice system. Although they make up 70% of those enrolled in universities, women make up just 5% of the workforce in Saudi Arabia - WHY?
Women are not allowed to drive or ride bicycles on public roads in large cities. However, most women are capable of driving, and some do so on rural roads illegally. Education, although limited, has become an important aspect. Religious police enforce a modest code of dress; foreign women are also expected to wear abaya, violators may face caning/ harassment or fines. There are numerous legal restrictions of what kind of jobs women can do (as to prevent their direct contact with men). They cannot be admitted to a hospital or examined by a doctor or travel abroad or leave the house without the express permission and/or company of an immediate male family member. After their first menstrual cycle, women must cover their entire body in a long black cloak (abaaya) as according to tradition
- YOU CALL THIS FREEDOM?

I think that it's silly. It's just like how those Jews where their little kipas. Hijab is a totally unnecessary thing. And it is also a visual sign of separation and difference. Muslims, on average, may be a little swarthier than Whites, and have different face-features, but wearing special clothes, like Hijab, just magnifies those appearance differences. Plus, some Muslim women have pretty good faces, but they need to wear some make-up, and let their hair down, and show a little leg. Generally, I think y'all Muslims need to be less religious and more main-stream. An excellent way to start would be to go the mall and buy some normal, western clothes. That goes for the Jews w/ their little kipas, too.
Salaam.
P.S. Long Live Palestine!

I'm an Atheist, but I find some concepts of the hijab ideally romantic, like your husband be the only one to see you. But realistically, it sort of gives some men the idea that they absolutely own their hijab covered wives. I don't know if that's a part of Islam, but I know most religions hold men higher than women.

Not only are we wearing the Hijab/Mandeel proudly but Allah has taught us (Muslims) that the Hijab/Mandeel protect's a woman's figure and body from unwanted male eyes.
In other words, a Hijab/Mandeel covers a women's body as not to be victims of men's cruel pleasures and eyes.

that's not lots the headscarf, that's the character and temperament of the guy donning the headscarf. If the guy is sort and polite no concerns, in the event that they're rude and boastful then specific, I actual have a project. a headband by itself is purely purely slightly fabric.

I see the Hajib as fulfilling a religious requirement, a symbol of duty and obedience to religious law. If MORE people followed the teaching of their various religions that faithfully, there would be far less trouble in the world.

I don't wear it yet I understand what it means. May I tell you in order to live in peace you must first live it inside yourself before you can expect the same right from others? That's the right way.
