I've always wanted to pursue a modelling career but my height and my legs are obviously going to ruin it for me. Can anyone tell me how to lose the fat on my legs? And would long distance running give me more feminine legs?

Honey, you're 12 years old. Please don't worry about your body right now. You aren't even close to overweight. I'm sure you are beautiful. You will grow out of it, if you make sensible choices now and don't do any harm to your body. Don't take up hardcore exercising, where you can burn yourself out. Take up a fun sport like soccer or softball and your legs will get more muscular and the fat will melt away. You're body still has a lot of growing to do, and trying to lose weight in a harmful way will hurt your growth, especially if you do any drastic diets. Remember models need to be tall AND in shape. Please don't stress about it right now. You're not even close to being done. Enjoy being 12.

Hello Angela H,

My son is 14, he lost 52 pounds in 4 months because he starting drinking water everyday all day long, he would consume as much as a gallon of water a day, and the doctor said it was OK because it could not hurt him. My son's skin cleared up, and because he and I would walk the track at least 3 days of week his body really look great. So- I say to you drink water and walk. good luck

Muscle is sexy
most models are all muscles,f your complain you most have more fat than muscle.
go get your body fat tested then join a sport
*High fashion models are workng much younger then 12*
Unless your beautiful and are about 5 foot 7 in. by thirteen then u have no chance

running is a great idea if you have the will-power

definitely EAT HEALTHY. Running is very good for you and it helps your metabolism. You should try yoga because as you stretch your muscles and gain good posture, you'll begin to look leaner. You should try getting a more positive attitude about your body instead of criticizing your insecurities.

I know how you feel... I would just do minor exercises nothing too difficult otherwise you'll have monsterly muscular legs
