1. Via Emilia on East 21st Street and Park Avenue. Appetizers are unusual and outstanding - gnocco fritto - large platter of Italian coldcuts served with delicious little fritters; tigelle (not served in too many places) hot biscuits with proscuitto and melted cheese; wonderful soups, good pastas, fish is always fresh. Some desserts are outstanding.

2 issues if i'll get 'em. the first is the turkey liver. Ever considering i'll undergo in ideas i have gotten the turkey out of the freshly roasted chicken. i respect liver, regardless of the reality that in many cases fried or as liverwurst. although the in common words liver i bypass for roasted is turkey liver. And from a Thanksgiving or Christmas chicken that is a particular manage. Sprinkle a touch bit salt on it and that is an excellent thanks to start up the day (also an truly problem-free breakfast pondering there's no longer extraordinarily a lot of it). the 2d is my mom's giblet gravy. that is scrumptious and is going on almost each thing. till very last 3 hundred and sixty 5 days for over two decades used to spend Thanksgiving with the and there have been somewhat some individuals that requested about it. no matter if she'd be bringing it or no longer. individuals wanted it there for the mashed potato, stuffing, squash, turkey, just about something. If something became a touch dry or without style on went the giblet gravy.

Be very careful of Gramercy Tavern: they have recently lost their chef of 12 years and according to recent reviews are seriously struggling both in food and, surprisingly, service. If you really want Tom Colicchio's touch, try Craft in the same neighborhood. My personal favorite is now another Danny Meyer stalwart - Union Square Cafe. But it all depends on what kind of dining experience you want since that area is filled with great choices. Tabla or Devi for Indian inspired food. Rosa Mexicana for Mexican. Mesa for southwestern. Tocqueville for more formal dining. Bluewater Grill for seafood. The list goes on.

Gramercy Tavern. I never miss an opportunity to visit this amazing restaurant when I am in NYC. (And next door is a lounge that has a great happy hour on Tuesdays or Thursdays, can't remember which, but I think it is Tuesdays)
