Your best choice for lures to use on bass at nigh time are the ones you can fish easiest with less chance of fouling hooks or snagging shoreline structure such as trees, logjams, or rock piles, making single hook baits a best choice. I have had my best bites on black jig/pig, dark 10" worms Texas rigged or spinner baits worked right below surface of water. Dark baits have the best profile in low light conditions. Use of a rattling jig or worm rattles can increase your strike ratio as well. Consider using scented attractants for extra edge.

In warm water night fishing is the answer for big bass! Try a jitterbug or popper, listen for the EXPLOSION, count to three, set the hook. Also a black spinnerbait with dark blade or as always a dark colored soft plastic will work well. The bigger the bait the better. The moon gives enough light for the bass to see the silhouette better. Good luck and hold on.

You can use a Black or Purple plastic bait worm for Bass at night. You can also use top water lure like a Zera Spook, but I like the ones that rattle myself. They're excellent for nightime Bass fishing in ponds, lakes and rivers.
The rattle trap also works good at night for Bass.
These that I have written down for you are my favorites and they will work.

fish can see very well at night
but cannot see color
that does not mean that lures cannot be used
live and dead bait would help with smell
live bait and lures would work well with sound
and as for taste, by that time, FISH ONNNNN!!!!!
so live bait is a good option
but it certainly not your only option
do some research on the type of fish and location

try using top water lures, such as a buzz bait spinner or a "walk the dog" type of lure top water lure, these work best because not only do they creat alot of noise and water disturbance, but they are also easy for the bass to see against a moonlit sky from below in the water.

top water is a good choice so is worms or jigs tube baits also work very welljust remember go dark if you can go black also bigger is not allways better i like strike kings bitsy tube with a 1/8 ounce jig head in spinners i like 3/8 ounce black with a single black or gold colorado blade black preferably 3" black mister twister with a 1/8 ounce jig head in top water jitter bug is the first thing i throw and then a chug bug then a jointed rapala in worms 7" or bigger culprit or power worm rig weedless with no weight or with a weight if you use a weight go as light as you can bass will hit it on the fall 90% of the time the reason to go with dark colors is that bass see darker colors best in muddy water or low light conditions

I have to agree with exert-7's answer. Using a bait with treble hooks at night is only asking for problems. Go with a single hook weedless bait and avoid the hassle.

at night, use lures for bass fishing. use a Jitterbug, they are proving to catch monsterous bass at night. they move and vibrate the water like crazy when reeling it in slowly, this attract bass. try black with green eyes. good luck.

I normaly go for the bigger baits at night. 10" black power worms are deadly and so are dark color brush hogs. always stay with dark colors at night. if its black you got it.
