Oh, all the way I thought women knew many ways of letting guys down ! So here you are trying not look like a 'jerk' and yet manage a smooth dismissal.
Well, it's not an easy task. You can't be nice to somebody and dismiss them at the same time. Especially in your case where the guy is not willing to see 'signs', you need to be assertive and pronounce what you have to. After all, guys never take it seriously as long as they have other choices and then, they tend to have choices.
So, no point in trying to be sweet when you know you can't. But I liked your intentions. You are different.

to be completely honest... i dont think that is a way to break up with someone without breaking their heart unless they dont care about you. so just tell him how you feel :)

there is nothing u can do; his heart is going to be broken no matter what. Just do it in person not over the phone.

Be gently honest. Of course your boyfriend will be hurt, but he will be fine. He will eventually find someone else, you saw something in him you liked and so will someone else. Even if you two aren't a match, he will find his match.

Just fart and burp when he is around, don't bath and just be nasty and drive him away.Works for me every time.
