realize that there are no atheists in a foxhole? We all bring our religious beliefs with us in America? And we are free to do so as well, and that is a good thing, then why not openly state that we differ from them in our religious beliefs? So what? This is not a religious war at all. But we need our say and comforts too. And I believe we should promote our beliefs, not to exploit or push our beliefs on anyone but to stand up for our freedom of choice and say so. Why not, politics has nothing to do with religion, and that is a fact. But I think we are made to hush up about our beliefs just like they did in Berlin? Look it up? Before the time of Hitler's party taking hold the people were shamed out of speaking religion like they were wrong to do so? And that is what is wrong here. Marines know God and Country and in that order, if they are an atheist? Oh well whatever who ever they want to believe in they have the freedom of choice and we may not have that very long?

Not only have we as a nation stated that we differ from Muslim nations (we have freedom of religion, they don't) the Muslims already know this. It is the Muslims, followers of Islam and stated in their holy Qur'an that all non-believer..infidels..must convert or die. I can't recall any major religion in the US that tells its members to kill Muslims if they don't convert to say...the Protestant religion. Can you. There's more but I think I have made my point.

And yes, I have been to the middle east (2 years), spoke with Muslims...and spent 18 months in Iraq.

And one final note...in the middle east politics and religion are absolutely connected.

your comparing present day america to Nazi germany... you are very diluded my friend, america in no way shape or form resembles a Nazistic goverment, and your basing this on religion, ever read the constituion? it states there will be seperation of church and state. what you should be afraid of is the theocracys that hate the "great satan" like iran and syria. those men are fanatical and they also hate us on religious belives

If you are wondering why Americans are fighting this war then your barking up the wrong tree. And so are the people who mentioned religion. The only religion in most Americans minds is the almighty dollar. And that's what the American Grunts are over there for. OIL is the reason for the war and Saddam is (was) the scapegoat. He has weapons(oil) of mass destruction(money) things in brackets are the correct awnser no matter what religion you are.
