No. In addition to Hell NOT EXISTING, the Bible does NOT, as many believe it does, condemn homosexuality and homosexuals.

The passages in Leviticus (18:22 and 20:13), understood IN THE CONTEXT of the time and place, are not an admonishment against loving sexual relationships between people of the same sex but instead against sex as a form of domination and control. Besides, these passages are part of the Holiness Code which is not binding to modern day Christians (or anyone else for that matter).

The story of Sodom and Gomorrah was a warning against rape, inhospitality and xenophobia. The reason for Sodom's destruction is made clear in Ezekiel 16:48-50. According to Ezekiel, the sins of Sodom were pride, laziness, being inhospitable, neglecting the needs of the poor, greed, and idolatry (the worshiping of idols). Nothing about homosexuality is mentioned. If Jude 1:7 describes anything about the sexual immorality and perversion in Sodom and Gomorrah, it's describing RAPE.

1 Corinthians 6:9 was a mistranslation of the word "malakee". It's used elsewhere in the Bible to mean someone who lacks discipline or one who is morally weak, and never is it used in reference to sexuality or gender.

1 Timothy 1:9-10? Also a mistranslation. 1 Timothy was an admonishment against male prostitution, not committed, loving same sex relationships.

The words "physin" and "paraphysin" in Romans 1:26-27 have also been mistranslated. Contrary to popular belief, the word "paraphysin" does not mean "to go against the laws of nature", but rather implies action which is uncharacteristic for that particular person. An example of the word "paraphysin" is used in Romans 11:24, where God acts in an uncharacteristic (paraphysin) way to accept the Gentiles. When the scripture is understood correctly, it implies that it would be unnatural for heterosexuals to live as homosexuals and for homosexuals to live as heterosexuals.

People CAN be born gay because of a spiritual heritage where there is homosexuality in the family line, passing along a spirit of homosexuality to an unborn child. Homosexuality is a spiritual problem, not a mental problem. It's not an issue of brain formation.

The good news is that people CAN be set free from homosexuality, and any other spirit.

God is never unfair. We will all stand before him on judgement day, and it will be totally fair. Nobody will have an argument that wins out to show unfairness from God.

If you think that God is doing something unfair, most likely the issue is either not correctly thought through, or there is some error in the theology of the question. God put the sense of justice in each of us, and believe me, he is far more just than any of us!

No and for a couple reasons, the Bible also says that the drunkard cannot enter the Kingdom of God also, but, many people are born with a gene that can make them become alcoholics IF they drink. We dont say that people born with this gene NEED to be alcoholics because they were born with it, we encourage them to contoll themselves and learn how to not give into this behavior. People dont do that for gays its just "accept it as who you are" on one side or "stop it or go to hell" on the other.

Another reason is that no one alive is sinless and we ALL have the same offer of salvation, the key is, acknowledging what is sinful and being sorry that we do. There are Christians who fornicate who are no more saved or less saved than a homosexual, in both cases, are they sorry they do it or not? God isnt going to tell the fornicator to repent, and not the homosexual is He?

NO ONE is "destined" to Hell... everyone can be forgiven.

You university professor is full of it! Science is no better than Christianity when it comes to finding ways to justify it's thoughts/actions. As far as homosexuality is concerned, think about it! How can anyone be "born gay"? A person's sexual orientation is directly correlated with their sexual MATURITY, something we DO NOT have at birth! Homosexuality is nothing more than a product of CHOICE and ENVIRONMENT. Anything that Satan can use to appeal to ones way of thinking will open a person's mind to the possibility that what is being proposed is right for that individual (often without considering ALL the consequences).

Hell, (sheol, hades in the original languages) is simply death, (the state of being not alive) With that in mind, yes everyone dies.

a couple more comments....

How many people who are NOT carrying on homosexual contacts have "smaller hypercampers"? Does your professor really know?

If I have a genetic weakness towards alcohol, (it is proven that some people do) is it OK with everyone if I drive drunk? If I have a genetic tendency to give into my anger....is it OK when I murder someone? Com'on....I am just born that way aren't I? I cannot help it can I?

Some think it is unfair for the Bible to condemn the practicer of homosexuality because there are people who may be geneticly leaning toward it. Man will not always be in a position to rule over himself. When his rule is replaced by righteous rule, various genetic malfunctions will be adjusted and corrected by one with the power to do so. Under that rulership, certain things will not be tolerated. Those who do not like that will not be staying. They can't.

well, first off your professor is off, show me proof and I will believe you...but some people turn gay on a whim, who do NOT have that perticular hypercampers...so that leaves that theory out in the dust. Secondly, no one is born gay....NO ONE...it is a willful choice they make at a certain age...no little baby is born gay...I can't see how you would be so stupid as to believe that? Influnece is made by the actual discion which is pressured into arising at the mature age...(usually 13 to 15, sometimes yonger) The child is pressured by the people, or things, around him or her. And then chooses. It is nothing they are born with. I worked with young children for many years, I literally visited HUNDREDS of orhanges and saw many many children...none of which were "born" gay.
And yes, I gays will go to hell, God said it is an "abomantion" in his sight...aka, a sin! So I hope I answered your questions..
God bless
Kat

Hi, first off you are not born gay, There are no phyical proof that you can be born gay, There would have to be a gay gene in your body that make you gay, I have a daughter and she grew up normal, till she dated age 18 on up she had gotten into bad relationships. And her best friend who was a girl too had the same problems, So they both decided that it would be easy for them to just move in together live a somewhat normal life but they say there gay. They sleep together, have sex together they talk to me cause they know that I am an understanding mom. I don't care what they are, She is still my daughter no matter who she turns out to be. You can't help who you fall in love with now can you??? But just know you are not born gay ok. It is a choice you make. And remember you are the only one that controls your mind, As for do you think you would go to Hell for being gay? Well God didnt' really make us to be woman with woman or man with man, it says in the Bible he created Eve for Adam out of his rib. To be a help mate. So that doesn't mean you will go to Hell if your gay, But it is something to think about and maybe ask your minister or preist.

Few, if any, Christians believe that homosexuals are destined for hell simply because they are gay. The more popular belief is that anal sex between two men is a sin.

You can't be born gay. It's a choice, not a gene.

Funny that the 50 years we have known and studied DNA (in America) we haven't discovered anything that makes you gay until now, and it just so happens the media is all about supporting it.
