That doesn't matter. It's as petty as whether you two have the same taste in music or movies.

If a relationship is based on what foods a person eats that relationship is doomed. My boyfriend and I are on complete ends of the spectrum when it comes to likes/dislikes in food. He LOVES seafood. I cannot stand it... nearly vomit at the smell of it. I LOVE German food. He cannot stand it... but stomachs it if that's all there is to eat. To make up for the lack of seafood in his life I take him out to Red Lobster once in awhile and I have the chicken or I go to the grocery store and pick up some salmon and crab legs and make them for a special dinner for him. It's all about compromise and he appreciates it more than he can express although the mess left over on the table is enough gratitude for me.

It matters. Everything matters in a relationship. Sooner or later the differences will catch up. Side note: be wary of mates that only like plain, bland food -- their tastes in food reflect their tastes everywhere else.

You dont have to eat the same food to sit down together for a meal. Its hard to find people that like the exact same things as you. I wouldnt break up with someone over food, thats dumb.

I think it is extreeeeemly important not to ever marry anyone who's a junkfood addict. You will end up eventually with an overweight individual who is a walking diary for potential deadly diseases which are overwhelmingly the cause of people dying before their time , and very likely leaving you to soldier on raising children on your own because they dropped dead of heart attack, or died from out of control diabetes etc. long before they ever needed to die.
You want to be up to your eyeballs in debt from medical bills, marry a food junkie who doesn't think good health is important lol.

I don't think that should be a problem at all!! I'll tell you when food was a problem in one of my relationships, my ex-bf was well built when we met, and I fancied him, but as soon as he thought our relationship was for keeps, he let himself go and started eating everything around him and got absolutely massive, because he thought "hey, I've found a gf, I can let myself go." It turned me right off him, and I ended up dumping him. Sounds shallow, but you gotta make an effort to look good, don't ya think?

It doesn't matter at all. Everyone has different tastes, food, music, movies. If you are serious about one another, then there is always going to be something you can share, it doesn't have to be plates.

I eat a regiment of food designed to give me 300 grams of protien a day. And I dont expect my gf to have the same diet nor do I think she should be put off by it, its simply preference.

It is an added bonus if someone can cook, but no one would ever break up with someone they really like because they can't cook.

Just order in!
