My hubby loves peanut butter cookies and I just got some cute heart shaped cookie cutters. I want make him some heart shaped peanut butter cookies to send them to him in Iraq but I don't know if there are any recipes that would allow me to roll out peanut butter cookie dough and make them heart shaped...because of texture and what not. Help!

Well, it may not be that suitable for cutting shapes in, but you could try this:

1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit on a pan covered in aluminum foil (it doesn't stick this way, and it much harder to burn the cookies) for 10 minutes. It is a very simple recipe. I'm horrible at baking, and these came out perfect!!!!

When you send them to your husband, wrap them in foil again to keep them warm. Good luck to you and your husband!

Candy bar cookies! Any candy bar of your choice, I like to use Kit Kat for the light crisp taste, or Snicker's for the oowey gooey taste. Enjoy!1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup chopped, chocolate-covered candy bar pieces (pieces should be about 1/2 inch in size) Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Set aside. In large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar on medium speed until mixture looks fluffy and smooth, about 30 seconds. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Stop the mixer and scrape the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula once during this mixing. Decrease the mixer speed to low and add flour mixture, mixing just until flour is incorporated. Gently mix in candy bar pieces. Drop batter by large tablespoons on baking sheets. Bake 15 minutes, until tops of cookies are light golden. Reverse baking sheets from top to bottom and front to back after 7 minutes to ensure even baking. Cool cookies 1 minute on baking sheets, then remove to a wire rack while still warm.

It may be easier to buy a refrigerated roll of ready-made cookie dough (like Toll House or Pillsbury). Also, ready-made dough may have a few more preservatives in it that may help out the cookies during their trip to Iraq.

Good Luck!
