I guess that depends on your age?
Does he like cars? fishing? hunting? motorcross racing? How about a magaine subscription... buy one (magazine) to give as the gift then tell him each month he will receive one in the mail.
If you don't like that... I gave my BF a pocket knife. Most guys like that gift.
