When I think of a slugfest Frank, It's a fight that doesn't go past 3- 5 rounds and you got two bangers going at it. Two that spring to mind are George Foreman v. Ron Lyle and Marvin Hagler v. Thomas Hearns.

Without a doubt George Foreman vs Ron Lyle in 1975 or so was the biggest slugfest I have ever witnessed. Both men took turns knocking each other down. In this 5 round war I believe Foreman went down like 3 times and so did Lyle with Foreman finally putting him away. Foreman showed a lot of heart because he was about as close to being knocked out as anyone I ever saw. Anyone that ever saw this fight would have to agree.

Without doubt it was the Foreman Vs Ron Lyle fight that had everyone in attendance screaming & yelling including Howard Cosell. What a slugfest!

Lord knows how much I hate to agree with some people on this forum, but that Foreman - Lyle fight was absolutely the biggest brawl ever to take place in professional boxing ring.
Hagler vs Hearns would be second and Lewis vs Klitschko close third in my opinion.

Carlos Palomino V Dave Boy Green I know a lot of you may not have seen this fight but boy was it A SLUG FEST IN a championship fight at welter weight great fight but I have to agree with some of my boxing friends it,s George Forman V Ron Lyle hands down all heart and guts in this one is en it funny that in the greatest fights that the same names always come up
