Or how we can choose Jesus or go to hell, not really a fair choice, it's like "listen to me, or burn" glad my parents were more reasonable.

A lot of things have been said and done in the name of Christianity that have nothing to do with what Christ practiced and preached. Christianity isn't about "fire insurance" after we die: it's about a relationship with our loving and merciful Savior.

True Christianity is about loving Jesus and following His example -- not browbeating other people for their beliefs. A lot of people have been loved into the Kingdom through the compassion and concern of believers who walk the walk, as well as talk the talk.

But I doubt that anyone has ever been nagged or harassed into a relationship with Christ.

You do have free will, did you chose to believe whatever it is that you believe? Christians do not attack you. You come freely onto this site and ask us questions about what we believe and think. If you ask us and we answer, don't turn around and accuse us of attacking you. I have been a Christian for over 50 yrs and have yet to attack anyone. However, if you ask me a question, brace yourself you will get it. That is my free will.

I'm not going to attack what you believe. I'm not going to argue and attack. Just listen up.

Jesus said that he has come to earth to give life at all it's abundance. He wants to have a relationship with us that is indescribable. He died for our sins and rose again. We don't have to deal with the crud that's in our lives and we can give it to Him and be forgiven.

The catch is, we have to choose the relationship to have it or not. God has given us the choice to accept Christ or not. There is no middle ground. Trouble is, one choice may be better than the other. God can't allow someone who isn't forgiven of their sin into Heaven. The only way for our sin to be forgiven is through Jesus.

God didn't force us to make a decision to love Him. We have the choice to have a relationship with Him which is the coolest thing ever.

I'm sorry Christians have attacked your beliefs. But in defense for them, they want you to have the joy and peace that they have. They want you to be with them in Heaven They just have trouble saying it.

LOL

actually if we had free will, and were able to choose, then the future would not be set in stone. infact we would have the ability to change the future so that the revelation never comes true.

instead the bible teaches the future IS set in stone, thus negating our ability to change the future through choices.

free will is an illusion if u believe the bible.

2 Thessalonians 2:11
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

there isn't something in Scripture approximately God giving us a loose will, nor that the autumn led to such. there is besides the undeniable fact that lots that states we are born slaves to sin, and that no guy desires God apart from the artwork of the Holy Spirit to hold them there (and hence the approach....and the why as to the must be "born returned"). God isn't the author of sin, yet all issues take place for His glory, and not something is outdoors of His administration. (see Romans 9).

Having free will doesnt mean whatever we choose is right. It means we can choose right or wrong. God never says "What ever you choose is fine with me" He shows what is right, and what is wrong and asks us to choose between the 2.

You might have free will confused with the political "freedom of choice" which implies what ever you choose is right.

Good question. God gave us free will and he doesn't want His followers dragging people kicking and screaming to Him. I think many a Christian has good intentions yet deplorable methods. This is merely observation on my part and in no way all-inclusive.

Have you felt that you were being attacked personally? If so, then that person was not a Christian talking to you.

When I talk to a person who tells me that they are not a Christian, I don't attack them personally, but I tell them the difference in what they believe in and what the Bible says.

If you'd like to talk to me, you can IM me.

Are you taking being told the truth about what will happen to those who reject Christ as an attack on what you believe? If you didn't like to hear the word 'blue" and I told you that the sky is blue, would you be offended?
