dvd audio question?

My computers dvd drive plays dvd video, and cd sound, but no dvd audio. I have the newest driver installed. What's wrong?

I assume you mean audio from DVD movies and not DVD-Audio DVDs that are completeley different.

It is possible that you don't have a Dolby Digital decoder. Go to the DVD menu and change the audio output to 2-ch PCM or 2-ch stereo or something similar. Or if your DVD player supports Dolby Digital make sure you output audio from the speaker output and not from the digital audio out (if it exists)

may be the dvd settings would have been reset check it once even then if prob is not fixed then uninstall your sound driver and reinstall it again then definitely the prob will b set rite
