I feel like my son is so out of the loop. He is in wrestling, and will join band in high school. He does volunteer here and there. He is a great student. Any other opportunities out there for him? Any special clubs or opportunities for eighth graders that are not commonly known about? There is nothing at his school.

Lions Clubs International has "Leo Clubs" for high school. Kiwanis, another men's service group, forms "Key Clubs" at the High School level.

You can also try "volunteer match" This is the site for one of the Phoenix zip codes.

Try 4-H .... maybe start a chapter of FFA or FCLA .... or maybe FBLA .... maybe find someone to get ROTC started. Just a thought.
