Do I need a boot disk to boot solaris 10?

Question

I down loaded 5 files: sol-nv b52-x86-dvd-iso-a.zip, to sol-nv b52-x86-dvd-iso-e.zip. Put all 5 on a dvd and can't get it to boot.
I used nero 7. Do I need a boot disk to boot solaris 10?
The boot screen keeps rolling back to the start screen;
I have my dvd player set to boot first but the dvd still will not load.

Hey Dude,

Um...those are zip files of an ISO. You need to first unzip them, and then use the ISO file utility on Nero to burn them one at a time on their own disks. 5 ISO files = 5 disks.

The first disk will probably be the boot disk once you do it right

Are you sure you want to do Solaris? It is not for the faint of computer ability.
