I think you are right, they do need us. Even though they are very annoying we should pray for them and keep answering their questions. It is God's will that all His children be saved, but only Jesus can save them.

Well two things - - 1) Isn't this your opportunity to 'reach them' - if more of the Chirstians would display the loving spirit of Chirst and not be so judgemental and rude maybe you all could win some people over to your faith.

and 2) Fair is fair....You don't want the athiests in the spiritual secion but you go to the gay section a lot and youa re not gay. Don't you see that is the same thing?

And lastly, honestly I am begining to have high regard for you. You state your questions without hate and do not promote violence and I think you are nice chap!

They have as much right to be here as anyone else does. I personally think atheism is a religion or at the very least a spirituality, but most of them say it is not, but either way you cannot ban any group from a section like this because this is a place to discuss religion and spirituality and they do discuss these topics.

Perhaps they are here to give us another side of things. The same way that we know not all people are raised in the same household/lifestyle, and that those things add to their perception of how things work in the real world, we should also value Atheists for giving us a different take on how life can be looked at. This helps us to understand others and not make sweeping generalizations (such as: 'America is a Christian Nation').

I'd like to know why you hang out in the Gay and Lesbian section then seeing how you don't belong there. What are you looking for there?

Atheists have every right to post in the Religion section, everyone does no matter what their beliefs as long as the topic is about religion.

United, when I read your question I couldn't believe it at first. You want Atheists out of the "Religion & Spirituality" section? How dare you, HYPOCRITE!?! You come into the "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgendered" section for the specific purpose of bashing all our people and our supporters. You have no right to say who belongs anywhere. You have no Divine authority. I suggest you practice what you preach. Stop hurting people. No one means you any harm so don't harm others with your hurtful remarks. Leave us people from the LGBT community alone.

Some atheists are not capable of worshipping anything, anyone higher than themselves. They tear down light in any form on general principle.
On the other hand some "atheists" are looking only for the Very Highest, and he's searching for it. He's seen a lot of what he's sure it's not. Once he finds it his life changes. These people ask intelligent questions. Their minds are already working.

you can be spiritual without a religion, in fact, spirituality is more likely without a god.

You can't get rid of atheists, they have as much right to be here as you.

Who would you like to get rid of next? Who doesnt agree with you? Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, catholics, mormons, JWs? It would be awfully boring, a few narrow minded christians patting each other on the back and saying how wonderful they are

Last I checked, one didn't need to believe in God (or any god) in order to be spiritual. And I do know that some atheists here are genuinely interested in finding out WHY people who believe think what they do. (Or what exactly certain religions really believe as opposed to public mis-information.)

I'd rather get rid of the spammers, trolls, and other insulting-types.

Its just like Gandhi said "I like your Christ, but I don't like Christians, they are so unlike your Christ"

Oh and about your last statement:

"o.k let's get rid of the Atheist who make fun of God and Jesus how's that? - the other ones can stay"

Does that mean I have to leave? Because it seems that you think you are God of Y!A, and you're a very easy target.

By the Atheist I understand the man who not only holds off, like the sceptic, from the affirmative, but who drives himself, or is driven, to the negative assertion in regard to the whole unseen, or to the existence of God.

Jesus is the truth, the way and the life!

"Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One"
