According to Leviticus, the penalty for violating any of the Ten Commandments is death. Not in some abstract "wages of sin" kind of thing -- no, death by stoning in most cases.

Should that be posted in courthouses and schools too?

Only if we can get the courthouses to post the Real Ten Commandments - the ones god issued after he got P.O.ed at the golden idol. See Exodus 34.

i imagine the point is making an attempt to emphasise the religion on a captive target market. Any given city may have dozens of church homes for each public college and in common words one courthouse. no individual is legally required to attend church, yet almost all and diverse is had to bypass to a school or court docket proceeding faster or later.

Geez, how man times do you have to hear that since Jesus came the rules are different, God changed his mind and came down as Jesus and reset the rules.

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

Oh crap, ummm well maybe we should get the stones ready huh?

Not until I can use leviticus 20:9 as a valid excuse to "put to death" my son for cussing at me.

Old Testament...

Old rules...

Ask the Jews...

Jesus said that we all sin, the commandments just tell us that we sinned, and we're WRONG. He said "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and in all your ways worship him"
