My best friend has a theater room also, and she only allows people in there certain times and circumstances. Like b-day parties, when one of her children has a sleepover, etc. Otherwise, it is reserved as a family room, family only!!

ya I had this problem once too. First with the theater room then with the pool. Simply tell them that if they can't respect your son's wishes then they don't need to come over to play. You don't have to allow them inside your home, and if you think there taking advantage of your son then just tell them to stay away. Your son's real friends will want to play with him no matter what room there in.

I would also go with the out of order sign. I would do that and see who his real friends are and maybe every once in awhile have a movie night for a treat with his real friends.

Your house, your rules. Rule number 1. You can only use the theater when its okay with me. Not anytime you come over.
