No, I loved it -- two weeks, two decades ago! Lots of good wines, parks, good Vietnamese restaurants, etc. What's it like now??!

Today, it's super hot! 38C~!

Seriously though, I don't think it would be the world's most exciting city to spend a long holiday in, but it's a fantastic place to live. The cafe scene is great - people here eat out more often than in any other part of Australia and if you know your wines, BYO is de rigeur, or you can check out some of the many wine tastings organized locally. You can cycle everywhere using the wonderful network of cycle paths which often wend their way through the city's numerous wilderness areas. You can row on the lake, learn to sail, go horseriding, bushwalking, visit the theatre, catch an Arthouse movie, learn to make glass beads, take night classes in French, listen to Jazz on the Eucalypt Lawn at the Botanic gardens... What can't you do here? And on top of that, forget traffic jams, smog and long commutes.

And my hobby? I crew on hot air balloons. Canberra rocks!
