All of these ideas are great. We always made back on donations only carwashes Just be sure to make a poster and let people know what the fundraiser is for.

Another great, easy, no overhead way to make $$ is to sell sdvertising space in the back of your concert programs. I have my Jr high kids do this. We make 25 dollars for a name in the program, 50 for a business card sized ad, 100 for 1/2 page, and 200 for a full page. Just start going to your local businesses and offer them a spot. We make about 2000 a year doing this. All I have to do is photocopy a few pages and figure out the page layouts with the enlargenments and stuff. Way better than putting 100s of $$ up front for the candy fundraisers.

Good Luck!

Singing telegrams, private small group performances, raging drinking parties with an admission fees, and such are nice, but nothing brings in the money like selling candy bars. If you do enough research, you can sell candy bars for a dollar and make a 50% profit. Candy generally sells like crazy to college kids. All you need to do is carry the box and people will start lining up by you desk.

If you have the box, they will come.

Singing Val-o-grams (valentines) are super fun and lucrative if you can get enough reservations. You just memorize one or two songs, like "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" or something like that (very easy), and have people pay $20 or whatever to have you sing to their sweetie at their workplace.

It sounds lame, but we always made zillions doing free car washes. People are willing to dish out the money if you're not trying to get it from them. I think we averaged $10-15 per car!

Hmmm... "slave auctions," local business donations, the old bake sale. That's all I've got right now.

Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough was always HUGE for our showchoir. We sold them baked at our invitational and sold the buckets of dough as a fund raiser.

We marked the football field off in 1 foot grids, numbered each square, sold chances on each grid for $1, turned a cow loose on the field for several hours, and paid $100 to the person who chose the square that she dumped in first. We made a lot of money.
