1. Weight train. Don't completely avoid aerobic exercises. You have to experiment to see how they affect your weight gain. A highly recommended book is Championship Bodybuilding by Chris Aceto.
2. Get more protein. Protein provides the basic building blocks for muscles. It is recommended that you eat your weight in grams. For example, keep your protein between 1-1.5 times your bodyweight. For example, for a 150lb person, he/she would eat between 150g-225g of protein per day. You will not hurt your kidneys by eating this much protein. Unless you have had a kidney removed, your kidneys will not have any problems with this amount.
3. Drink protein shakes. You can also buy protein in powder form. Whey protein is recommended because it is easily absorbed into the body after workouts. Mix it with milk, yogurt, and/or the fruit of your choice. The majority of your protein intake should come from real food, not protein powders.
4. Eat carbs, especially oatmeal and pasta. Add extra olive oil. While your protein intake will be higher than before, you should consume more carbohydrates than protein.
5. Eat smaller portions of food but more often. Whereas before you may have had 3 meals a day, you could have pseudo-meals in between these. As a general rule, eat every 3 hours. Don't wait till dinner to stuff yourself. Spread out your meal amounts evenly. 6-8 meals per day is feasible.
6. Rid yourself of any preconceived notions that dietary fat is unhealthy. Consume as much unsaturated fat as possible (but avoid saturated and particularly trans fat).
7. Move a portion of your calorie intake to later in the night, but at least two hours before bedtime.
8. Drink near a gallon to a gallon and a half of water per day.

You are definitely exhibiting signs of anorexia (specifically restrictor type)

Some key things I get from your post that indicate you have an issue:

- depression

- distorted body image

- obsessing about food

- frequent skipping of meals (you've even found a way to fill the hunger void by using water as a meal replacement)

- dieting and food restrictions (eating only a few foods, particulary low fat and low calorie)

- frequently weighing yourself and obsessing about the results

Anorexia became a part of my life in 7th or 8th grade. Started out with minor food restrictions, the progressed into eating maybe 1 or 2 small things a day, and awhile after that I ended up as an involuntary anorexic-bulimic (my stomach hurt all the time and most food I ate would come back up without thought, even when I was trying to keep it down). I broke out of the anorexia for a couple of years and moved into overeating and occasional binge eating. I've had a lot of "normal" days but still found it hard more to eat more than one large meal a day. Now at 29, I'm back to restricting with the occasional binge. So, I still battle anorexia daily, although now it's less visible to everyone else (because I am not bone thin at this point), I clearly know I have a problem... I just don't feel much like dealing with it. You seriously need to get some help before you reach the point I'm at, or worse..

it would help to know your age weight and height. As long as you are not losing weight you should be okay. But if these are the only things you are eatting and you CAN'T eat anything else then you might have a problem. First, try eatting small meals throughout the day. Like eat at least about 6 times a day or more, even if it is some healthy snacks like a banana. Try taking vitamins after you eat your oatmeal and bigger meals. Vitamins help you have a better appetite. I was almost anorexic about 25 years ago. I could only eat a little bit of a few things. I took vitamins and it helped me get my appetite back.

It's not what you're eating that's the problem but the fact that you get depressed if you weight the same or just a pound lighter. Anorexia is a mental disease. If you always feel that you need to eat less or that you constantly have to lose weight, I think you might have a problem.

It's better that you notice it now than later. Get some help. It's easier to fix now than later when you weigh 50 lbs and are a guest on the Tyra Banks show...

Although you ARE eating, you're not eating well enough or properly. To keep a good metabolism going and have a healthy mind and body, you need to eat! You should have a few small, well balanced meals throughout the day with plenty of water and get enough sleep. Also, try getting some exercise a few times a week. All of this will help you feel better about yourself. Starving yourself is never a good way to lose weight and the lack of healthy nutrients effects your moods and can cause depression. I hope this helps.

It sounds like you may be trying to either a) punish/deprive yourself or b) maintain control of some aspect of your existence. Both a) and b) often stem from feelings of worthlessness, negative body image and feeling powerless or victimized. Women, primarily, and increasing numbers of men wrestle with some form of eating disorder at some point in their lives. We are all constantly bombarded with unrealistic expectations of 'ideal' beauty. It's important to remember that waif-thin models and actresses are selling an image or trying to evoke a specific feeling or experience in order to sell a product/idea/storyline/etc. For an actress or a model, think of a slim figure as a 'tool' that's useful to that specific industry. My main concern is, why don't you value yourself for who you are? I would recommend seeking professional help, but try to find someone who focuses on moving forward--toward healthfulness--rather than dwelling on the root cause. It's not so much where you came from or who you were or what experiences may have led to low self esteem. It's more important to work on getting healthy.

You should send all that food you are not eating to kids that need it, like children in Africa. Think of all the good you could do!! I would recommend donating the money you would have spent meeting basic caloric requirements to a charitable agency, for people who actually really truly deserve sympathy and need more attention.
Plus, the charitable action will make you feel better about yourself, and maybe you'll realize there are more important things in life than starving yourself on purpose and posting about it on Yahoo.

Sadly, I think you are thats how I started. Please go get help, you can still drag yourself off it and you will be so much happier when you get help or atleast a nutrician and trainer, this is not the way to lose weight. The diet you are on causes serious damage to your body and its destroying your metabolism, think about it.

No that's normal...anorexia is 'not eating at all'. Sounds like you're eating well so stick with that. It's normal to feel unsure about your body. Maybe you should try a little exercise
