I have a friend who's gay, I don't have a problem with that, I know I am not. Ever since my girlfriend broke up with me, he has started to act different. A common friend we have told me that he is actually obessed and really likes me. I want him to be a friend, nothing more. What do I do?

Go to the source and ask him why is he acting different. Come clean with him on your thoughts as to why you feel he is acting different. Pardon my bluntness, but let him know and emphasize how much you love women and not men. If he admits he is attracted to you. Let him know what you feel and give him an ultimatum and that you only want to be friends. If he breaks your rule then stop being friends with him.

Talk to him (face to face). Explain to him that youre not accusing him of trying to be with you, but that just so youre honest from the start and dont want things to get complicated, that you are not gay and that you only will like women and you wont change. Tell him you do want to stay friends and that you do not have a problem with gay people. Even though this might hurt his feelings (he might cry, he is gay after all) it is the truth and it would hurt less if you lead him on or just went up and yelled at him for being a gaybo and you werent interested. Hope it works out for you.

Just be honest with him. Let him know what you other friend to you. Let him know the rules, You are now and alway will be friend and only friends. If he is any kind of friend he will accept that. If not don't feel bad if you have to end the friendship. No use hanging out if he's making you feel uncomfortable.

Be upfront and straight forward about the situation now before something happens that will end your friendship. The most important rule of being a friend is you can be honest andopen about anything.

Be honest with him and be like " hey I just want to let you know that I respect you as a person and I don't feel comfortable the way you've been acting lately..."

HONESTY-REALNESS is the best policy in any situation!

Just let him know that you don't like him that way because you're straight and he's your friend. Its gotta feel good to have another guy find you attractive, huh? Sorry... :)

Is your birthday August 26th? If it is, mine is too...I just noticed your username and wanted to know. :)

Explain this to him, if he doesn't listen, just avoid him, he'll eventually get the hint and back off a little. If he really likes you, he'll give you your space, and also understand that you don't like him like that!
