I'm new to this school and I see this guy harrasing a girl so I decided to see what his deal was. Turns out he was wanted to do it with her and she wasn't gonna let him (she and I both wear abstinance rings). Anyway I told him he should leave her alone. He got mad and tried to punch me in the head, But I dodged and swung back. It layed him out and his two buddies jumped me, with a lot of effort I finally knocked them down. The question is, Is it fare that because I'm a new kid and they're jochs they get away with it and I get dettention til school is out?

Now the entire football team hates me cuz I put three of their star player out of commision lol. Maybe next time they won't try jumping me lol. They should still be punished after all like 20 witnesses saw that they started the fight.

Did you explain your side to the principal? Sometimes the school looks out for their jocks because they are the reason that the football team is #1. I would not take it...I would alert the news media about this...especially if they were trying to force themselves on a girl. You did the right thing but please take it a step further and get some more people involved to get these jocks disciplined! Because...it will happen again.

No, it's not fare.

It is, however, fair. No one said you had to stand up for this girl - her problems are not your problems. And even if what you did is to be commended, there is a time and place for everything.

So, it was YOU that chose to get involved. It was YOU that chose to punch the other guy. It was YOU that continued fighting with the friends of the other guy. It was YOUR choice and YOU are the only one that can reap the consequences of that choice.

In this case, the consequences are negative and you get a year's detention. -shrugs-

Maybe next time you'll think before you defend another girl - there are better ways to impress a girl.

I got jumped and I got suspended when I was in high school.
I got suspended for self defense.
Some things in life just aren't fair.

im not sure what a abstinance ring is or jocks ( im an aussie).
However is verry unfair if your being punished and they arnt.
Obviously they were invovled too, and they shouldnt get away with harrassing the girl too.

Life isn't fair but what you did should definately be good for your rep. It'll weigh heavy in your favor after all is said and done. Nice going, man.
