What does thanking and praising have to do with serving and obeying god?

Hmm, Confirmation questions? Wow! Confirmation has changed since I was a kid in the 60s.
Thanking and praising-
Well, God wants us to do well and to serve Him. So, when blessings come our way, it's a time of thanks. Even small blessings, like passing Confirmation tests! :)
Praising is a way of letting the world know about God. I don't see people doing it very much (out loud). I see and hear praising at Mass.
We can probably thank and praise while we do our everyday chores. As we go about the day going to school or work, we can show our love for God by being kind to others (even if they drive us crazy!) and to try to do the right things as best we can.
How's that? Not bad for an old girl, eh?

because we owe it to Him. He created us and whats better than praising your creator. He also told me to :D. If we didn't choose to love God, but we still obeyed, we would be robots.
