I have liked this guy for 3 years on and off now and we've dated a couple of times, but now we're broken up and are just friends. People keep telling me that i should go out with him because we're so "cute." I like him, but I really don't wanna go out with him again. Can anyone tell me some ways, besides wallowing, to get over him?

I think that what other people tell you to do should not matter. Tell them "thank you for your opinion" and then decide on your own. Trust me, I had to learn this the hard way. Besides, you don't need to wallow. If you are just friends, don't worry about it. Relax and enjoy your friendship.

tell these other people with complete sincerity you know what you want and that the both of you aren't it, looking cute together has never been a reason to go out with someone, sound s like your old enough to think like this, if your "over him" then why do you keep "wallowing"?

Start dating again, more than one, get your self out their. Before you know it you will be so busy you won't have time to "wallow".

If people encourage you to go out with him again tell them "No, thanks. Do you have any single friends that I can meet." It will shift the focus from you and the guy as a couple and possibly open up new opportunities. Good luck

Just don't listen to what your friends or people tell you. If you truly don't want to date him again, just keep it that way. =) Be true to yourself. SOmeday, you'll find a way better guy that's worth your time.

You need to go out on some random dates to get your mind off of him and to see that there are others out there.

You might just want him because he's around, and your friends are pressuring you. Get out an meet new people, and he'll be a distant memory in moments.

Think of all the things that you like to do and start from there. Also try meeting other people, dont throw yourself on them, but try something different.
