All cats should be indoor cats. Personally, I would get another ragdoll or a Siamese, something that will be a big cat. Mine seems to play rather hard and I wish he had someone his size and strength to play with. They are precious cats!

I also have a Ragdoll Cat... now 3 years old and very big and very furry !
We also have a Seal Point Siamese 2 years old and the 2 are "house" cats and play very well together.

Ragdolls are typically described as having very passive and gentle temperaments. That said, a cat's temperament absolutely cannot be determined by its breed alone. The quality of a cat's breeding (for purebreds) as well as the time taken to properly socialize the cat can ultimately have much more to do with what their temperament will be than their breed. There are always exceptions to the common traits associated with a breed, so I don't recommend purchasing a cat and expecting that it will have any particular personality traits just because it's common for many of the breed.

Most cats should be indoor cats. They live a better and longer life by living indoors.

I took in a stay kitten 3 weeks ago and she has turned out to be the best house kitty ever! I have a Persian that cost me my whole savings account 6 yrs ago, that I would like to throw outside, he uses everything as a potty. Breed has no bearing, it is just the kittys demeanor. Good Luck!
