3 storey building i want to install mains operated with battery back smoke heat detectors?

would i require test certificate if i installed mains operated with dc back up smoke/heat detectors in a 3 storey building.i will be renting the accomodation out.

To protect yourself from litigation, if anything untoward happens, I think you should get a qualified installer to fit, test and certificate your system.

in the uk this is part p work.

also if one doesnt work and your property burns down, it might be good if it is someone elses responsibility
